Steven Moeckel and Paula Fan - Beethoven Violin Festival I - Salon Concert

Nearly two hundred years ago in Teplitz Austria, Ludwig van Beethoven wrote  his "Unsterbliche Geliebte" (Immortal Beloved) letter. Although we do not know  to whom the letter is addressed, the mysterious love letter was found in  the composer's estate after his death, handed over to Anton Schindler until  his death, later willed to his sister, who in 1880 sold the letter  to the Berlin State Library, where it remains today. The letter is written  in pencil and consists of three parts.

Similar to the three-part letter,  Chamber Music Sedona is delighted to present the internationally acclaimed  violinist and Phoenix Symphony Orchestra concert master Steven Moeckel  performing all ten violin sonatas with Arizona Regents Professor of Piano Paula  Fan in three unique settings: Thursday, April 12 in a private home in Sedona with wine and hors d'oeuvres; Saturday, April 14 at the Sedona Creative Life Center from 3-5pm with a meet and greet the artists afterwards; and 2:30pm Sunday, April 15 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church for the final subscription concert of the season.

This evening's performance is in a private home in the Sedona area. Come and enjoy Beethoven in a true chamber setting among friends.

Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

This second of three performances promises to be fascinating Beethoven, and you will feel the depth of musicianship at the heart of Mr. Moeckel and Dr. Fan's playing.

This performance is at the Sedona Creative Life Center with a meet and greet the artists reception following.
